LineTrust South Canterbury has been formed upon the resettlement of the South Canterbury Power Trust. Waimate Distric Council Centre of the South, New Zealand has Edwardian buildings lining the main street of this charming peaceful country town. Tall trees and a taller concrete silo mark Waimate, a centre for farming, forestry and berryfruits. The Whitehorse, on the Hunter Hills, is made from concrete slabs and commemorates the Clydesdale horses which were originally used to break in the land. Waimate boasts several short walks including the Waimate Walkway which leads to the Whitehorse Lookout rewarding walkers breathtaking views over the district. New Zealand Regional Fibre Group The NZRFG was formed to support the Government’s vision of introducing ultra-fast fibre broadband to New Zealand. The objective of the group is to provide a structure for regionally owned and managed network companies to deliver national wholesale, fibre-based access services to retailers and service providers on a flexible, neutral, and equivalent basis, recognising the benefits of local investment but national interoperability to both urban and rural areas. www.nzrfg.org.nz
