Timaru Maintenance![]() 17 Apr 2023 The Timaru township network upgrade consists of Overhead Line Maintenance and asset renewal. This project is currently ongoing and is to be completed in four stages. This will consist of Pole and Pole Furniture upgrades across the network. |

Tekapo solar trial18 Oct 2017 A solar panel trial is underway as part of the exciting solar power installation opportunity. We have installed solar panels and an inverter on the roof of our Tekapo substation. As well as testing the equipment in a range of weather conditions such as high winds, heavy snow and hail, we're also gathering data and monitoring the site as part of our solar panel trial. |
Green transformers05 Sep 2017 Community-owned network company Alpine Energy is trialling 10 environmentally friendly transformers at Fonterra’s Clandeboye plant, near Temuka. The new transformers use vegetable oil as an insulating medium rather than traditional mineral oil and are the first of their kind to be used in the South Canterbury district. |
