South Canterbury Children's Day

On Sunday 02.03.2025 hundreds of families found themselves down at Caroline Bay, enjoying the warm weather and free activities organised by community organisations for South Canterbury's Children's Day.

We teamed up with emergency services to promote safety. At our stall we had a quiz for kids, aimed at raising awareness for the dangers electricity can pose. We also ran a colouring in competition for kids to win either an electronics board, or a plush bunny with our safety campaign logo. We saw some great drawing talent, and a few bold suggestions on what our protective clothing and vehicles might look like in an alternative universe.

We also had a cornhole game and gave away heaps of magnets with our 0800 number. These will help families remember to call the right people (us) when the power goes off.

If you have a problem with your power or hot water, give us a call on 0800 66 11 77 for a free check.
