2026 HRNZ Awards

We didn’t take home the award but we’re taking home something just as important! Being selected as a finalist for the Wellness Programme Award at tonight's 2026 HRNZ Awards is something we’re incredibly proud of. While we didn’t take home the trophy, being recognised on this stage for our FullyCharged programme is a huge win in itself!

FullyCharged began with real kōrero from our people, and that honest feedback continues to guide every improvement we make.

Over the last two years we’ve built stronger psychosocial risk controls, launched wellbeing education programmes, reshaped benefits, improved access to health support, and seen a noticeable shift in how our people talk about and prioritise their wellbeing.

But this doesn’t mean the job is done. We still have more to learn, more to improve, and more work to do to keep our people safe, supported, and able to bring their best selves to work every day.

Congratulations to the winner, McDonald's New Zealand, and all the finalists! Your work inspires organisations like ours to keep moving, keep listening, and keep evolving.

Our Chief People & Organisational Performance Officer, Susan Lowe, put it beautifully “Being named a finalist means we’ve met a very high bar, even if others were stronger tonight. FullyCharged is about creating an environment for our people to thrive - because when our people thrive, our communities do too. This recognition celebrates the progress we’ve made together and shows our commitment to building a workplace where people can be their best selves!”

To our people… thank you. Your willingness to share your experience has shaped every improvement we’ve made. We’ll keep listening. We’ll keep refining. We’ll keep moving. And we’ll keep doing the work… together.
