You could get $110 off your power bill

The Power Credits Scheme is here to help South Canterbury households who are finding it tough with rising power costs, due to the national phase out of low fixed charges. If you qualify, you'll get $110 credited directly to your electricity account.

To qualify, you’ll need to meet the following:

• Be with one of these participating electricity retailers: Contact, Meridian, Mercury, Genesis, Nova, Wise, Globug or Powershop, and
• Have been on a low fixed charge plan in the last 6 months, and
• Be having a hard time keeping up with electricity costs

The scheme is funded by retailers and lines companies (like us) and has now been extended through to 2032.

To check if you’re eligible, contact your electricity retailer (who you pay your power bill to).
