What a moment for Alpine Energy!

Recently, our crew made history at @Annual Connection 2025 – the only event of its kind in New Zealand, bringing together the country’s top line mechanics and cable jointers to compete in hands-on challenges that test skill, safety, and teamwork.

This was Alpine’s first time entering its own team (previously represented by NETcon), and they trained hard to give it their all. The crew included line mechanics, cable jointers, apprentices, and trainees – backed by our managers and two of our own who were selected to serve as judges.

Being chosen as a judge at Annual Connection is a huge honour – a recognition of skill, leadership, and respect from across the industry. It’s a privilege to be counted among the best.

The event wrapped up with the Connexis Excellence Awards, and we’re stoked to share that one of our cable jointers placed 3rd in the Cable Jointing competition!

We couldn’t be prouder of this team – they represented Alpine with pride, stood shoulder-to-shoulder with the best in the country, and showed what we’re all about.
